Webi Alerts not working on Ipad

Hi Experts,

 

I am using a Webi 4.0 Report. Attached is the snapshot of it: Performed simplest conditional formatting on a column. By Default, all values are green in Ipad View and we need to ONLY format values for Red and other colors. I followed the SAP Tutorial "http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/409f0820-b42d-2f10-d7b9-d9304c83eb25&overridelayout=true" , BUT, its only showing the Red Icons (formatted ones) not the green ones.

 

Table Format settings: ";SC_TT_C_2_R"


 

Any idea what's going wrong? Attaching the Image.

Date rage prompts using Bex queries

Hi All

 

I have 6 different prompts defined at the Bex Query level wherein two prompts are for from and to date . I tested it on iPad and it did not show me the calender to select the dates. Am I missing something on this one.

The 0 plug-in does not exist in the CMS(FWM 02017)

Hi,

 

When I connect to BI Mobile using iPad after I upadate BI Platform 4 from SP4 to SP5, I got an error message:

 

"The 0 plug-in does not exist in the CMS(FWM 02017)",

then I can't  see any report I published to the Categories in iPad, but I can see all reports in Categories using Web Intelligence Rich Client.

 

Before I update the platform, I can connect to BI Mobile correctly and view the report,

 

any help will be appreciate,

SAP BI - Disable the email feature/functinality

Hi everyone,

 

it is possible to disable the email feature/functionality in the SAP BI app?

 

At the streamwork feature it is possible with a parameter on the mobile server.

Application rights for "SAP BusinessObjects Mobile" (CMC) - Have no effect?

Hi everyone,

 

we want to restrict some application rights for users in SAP BI Mobile (CMC > Applications > "SAP BusinessObjects Mobile"):

 

But when we denied the following rights for the user it has no impact:

 

  • Save documents to the local store of a device
  • Send documents from device as an email

 

What are we doing wrong? Have other rights to denied?

 

We know the possibilty to disable this two options (local store/email) in the properties files on the mobile server. But we want this limitation/restriction only for some user/groups and not for the hole BO4 server/installation.

WEBI not openinig in IPAD ios6

I am not able to view  WEBI on IPAD(IOS6) ,though i can navaigate through that report ,BO version is 3.1X ,i was able to check this on IOS6.

 

please help me out for same.I can open

Issue with Graph Line Title ( tag)

Hi,,

 

We are suffering the following issue in our current mobile environment (SAP BI 4.0 SP4 Patch 8 / iOS 4.4.18.11 release) when designing WebI documents that contains Line Graphs charts.

 

"Graph Title and value axis title appears with words enclosed in html break line tags<br/> in line graphs when more than a word is included. "

 

(E.g: Month Year appears as <br>Month</br>Year )

 

 

Has someone noticed this behaviour using Line Graphs with multiwords titles? Do you know if the bug (if it is) has been fixed in a more recent SP4 Patch release?

Dashboards are not appearing in IPAD

Hi All,

 

We have dashboards which are build in dashboard designer 4 SP 5 and BOBJ environment BI 4 SP 5 patch 5 running on the linux. we are implementing the BO Mobile. we have copied the MobileBIService.war file from window BOBj SP 5 environment and place it in the tomcat/webapps directory in the linux environment and followed the mobile configuration steps.

 

Now, we could able to see all the features in the webI document in IPAD including sections & input contols.  but we could not able to see the dashboards in the IPAD.

 

Could you please let me whether we need to do some configuration for linux environment. all dashboards are loaded to repository for mobile only.

I just downloaded & installed BusinessObjects Mobile XI 3.1

 

I am trying to run the Configure VAS & VMS from Start menu. But all I see is CMD window pop up & close & nothing after that.

 

I am trying to install BusinessObjects Mobile server, since you need that to connect to the BusinessObjects BI android app.

 

I have BusinessObjects 4 installed on the server. I have also read somewhere here that the 4 comes with Mobile in it but either ways I am not able to make the mobile server start up.

 

Any help appreciated

Usually my universes are generated off of BEx queries and characteristic restrictions with variables are used whenever a prompt is concerned. This method is not supported with Mobile BI if you want to refresh reports from the iPad. What is an alternative way to do this (especially providing a unit of measure or currency) to supply an answer back to BEx? Or do I need to hardcode those values in my BEx query and if I need any prompts I will have to drag a dimension to the query filter section in Web Intelligence?

Configuring blank cells: how to avoid multiple doc versions

Hi,

 

 

We are defining our strategy to implement the development of webi documents that may be either delivered to the user through the BI Web Portal (LaunchPad) or the iOS mobile client. One of the main issues that we have found when trying to achieve this desired scenario is how to handle the blank cells.

 

 

By applying the steps documented by the corresponding Product Guides (p.73 Designing Business Intelligence (BI) Reports Optimized For the Mobile for iOS Application) we are able to obtain satisfactory results by using mobile clients, but as the same guide mentions, the end-user experience through the Web browser when seeing the same document is quite unsatisfactory: the cell content appears as an hyperlink (blue and underlined). Even if we change the hyperlink format it always exist the risk that the end user click on the link.

 

 

There is some way to avoid the link behaviour of the blank cell when the document is delivered through the Web channel? Our main issue comes from the fact that the laction protocol is not recognized by any browser, so an error appear when user click on it (see sample below),

Price lists in Sales Order using IPhone

are items' values the values that correspond to customer's price list?

Is it possible to choose a price list while creating the order?

Input Controls in Graph Charts

Hi,

 

We have succesfully used input controls acting on vertical tables (see at http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-35272 ). But when working with graph charts instead of tables the filter icon does not appear in the iPad.

 

Has someone used input controls with graph charts succesfully?

 

We are using release 4.0 SP4 patch 8 (iOS Client 4.4.18.11 (219411))

Setting up Mobile Using BI 4.0

Hi,

 

Apologies for the basic question.

 

We have installed BI 4.0 and now want to try out Mobile BI 4.0. I need to understand the steps to do this.

 

I have found the mobile Mobile install manual but not too sure if relvant as I have also read that BI 4.0 comes mobile ready? The Mobile install manual and other blogs discuss install ".war" files, specificially 3 of them. Is this required?

 

Secondly once this is setup could some provide help on how to display a Web Intelligence Document on an iPad. From what I have read, which I am not too sure if correct the WebI document displays unedited on a iPad but surely some conversion is required.

Where to download BO Mobile server XI3.1?

I am still like a layman in  this field. Please help me out.

I have some questions:

 

1) From where, on the Service market place can I download the BO mobile server for BO XI 3.1 SP2. I serached through all the installations and patches but din't find the installation for this one.

 

2) Also, when I login into my SAP market place, from where exactly on the site am I able to know what licenses have been purchased by my company and what tools are available to me in my package? Please provide the link to go through.

 

3)I went through a lot of documents regarding installation of BO mobile. But no document explains installation to a layman like me. What kind of database do i need to install for server administartion.(sql server.mysql, etc) ? And what information do I need to put into the database?

Error while running Webi Reports in IPAD

Hello All,

 

I am getting an error while running a webi report in IPAD.

Error stated as follows :

"Content not supported".

Please help me in resolving this issue, what settings do I need to do.

 

I am using BO 4.0 SERVER : 14.0.4.v20120611-0738

IPAD - VERSION - 6.1.3(10B329)

SAP HANA : 1.00.50

Mobile Dashboard Linking

Hello all,

 

I have a question on xcelsius mobile dashboards on ipads. I have developed on dashboard in xcelsius and published as mobile to BI Launch pad. I have another dashboard which is the detail of the first one I just exported to BOE. Is it possible to link the general dashboard to detailed one somehow? You can do this in flash based dashboards through URLs. Is it possible to do it in ipad mobile HTML5 dashboards? I tried the same thing but it opens up safari browser on ipad.
