I have SAP BO 4 with SP4 and the latest SAP BI Ipad  version 4.4.18 installed.

I am trying to open a report by clicking a POI from Geomap in IPAD, I get a Pop with a hyper link Icon but the report opened on clicking the same is not refreshed for the POI i.e I am getting the entire dumb of data present in the second report.

I am using the Opendoc concept and has gone through the entire Opendoc threads in this discussion forum, but nothing has helped me fix this issue.

Please help me fix it.

Also, PFB the syntax that I have used for the opendoc function.

Hi,

Running version 4.4.18 with BO4 SP5 (no patch).

Two questions with regards to GeoMaps.

Problem 1 - When I setup my webi table with just the one dimension in it, the map displays perfectly showing the data without any filtering (i.e. with no dimension selected as a filter). I can then select from the dropdown to filter as required. When I add a second filter to the table the report selects one of the values (seemingly randomly) from this new dimension to automatically filter the report upon initial open. The original dimension remains unselected. 

This has the impact of filtering my data so that only a subset of my POI's are displayed when the report is first opened, which is not what I want. I do notice the behaviour of the filters when there are multiple dimensions is that only one can be used to filter by at any one time, but not both. This is fine, as long as I have the option to choose no filters, which it seems I cannot. (I do recall seeing a screenshot in documentation somewhere that indicated this was possible).

I also notice that now that I've removed the 2nd dimension which I had added above, that it is now forcing a selection on my original dimension by default, which it wasn't doing before!

Any ideas?

Problem 2 - My webi table has multiple measures but the order that these are displayed in the dropdown on the map appears to be random. I need to move the measure columns around in the webi table a nuimber of times to get them to display in the order I need, rather then simply ordering them from first to last. Anyone know the secret behind the ordering?

I have also setup my report so that when you tap on the POI the initial popup displays all available measures, but these display in a different order again to my drop downlist! Head scratching.

Any ideas?

Bug 1 - Big fan of this product, its wowing execs. However I thought it is worth pointing out this 'feature' to developers, something I stumbled on during a demo unfortunately. I am using a world map with a large number of countries mapped. When I tap on Norway, the popup shows Sweden. When I tap on Sweden, it shows Norway. Strange I thought. Did a bit more digging and have discovered that POI's with the same Latitude seem to get muddled (the lowest Longitude value seems to get the prize i.e. Sweden before Norway, Brazil before Peru, etc.). Not a massive problem and easily fixed by adding a minute/second or two to your location), but certainly worth knowing about.

I use a SAP B1 9 with Crystal Reports. Every time a save a Report the SAP Business one.exe crashes down and in the Eventlog I find errors from the Xalan C++ Libary.

               I have created different subcategories in CMC Categories folder but this is not visible on IPAD it does not recognize anything below parent folder irrespective of the reports or folder structure changes.I assume it does not support subcategory settings, works fine with only one category and Mobile category.  Can you help me with best practics or the formate used in your organization to define subcategories.

APP name : SAP BI Mobile : Version 4.4.18 Build 11 (219411)

Categories structure:

Mobile, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales Analytics etc :  Works fine on IPAD all visible.

Mobile, Sales/Analysis/Accounting, Sales/Distribution, Manufacturing/Automobile etc : Does not work (/) subfolder.

Is there any way we can refresh data in all the report on an iPad with a single tap?

One solution which I was thinking was -

1. Download all the reports on the iPad which needs to be refreshed with a single tap
2. All reports can be scheduled in the BI Platform and made available to the Users after the scheduled job has finished.
3. Users can download all the reports by a single tap on the 'Update All' button available under 'Alerts page.

We are using openDoc/sapbi links in our reports and openDoc does not support sDocName for MoBI.

Scheduling of the reports will result in an update in the iDocID, which we are currently using with the openDoc/sapbi links.

Thus the solution described above cannot be implemented.

Any idea if there is a simple solution available for what we are trying to achieve.

Hi I am running the latest version of BusinessObjects mobile on my iPad.

I was wondering how to save the reports from webi to my iPad for viewing offline.

When I go to options and select the work offline slider to ->yes, the one document that appears, when selected says Error This action cannot be performed verify network connectivity.

When I select work offline option to no then this document selects fine, but presumably from the connection.

How do I save this document to view offline...

I just installed and configured the Windows Server environment for evaluating Dashboards on iPad, i.e.:

• SAP BIP 4.0 SP4 (14.0.4.738)
• additionally "SBOP BI Platform 4.0 SP05 .NET SDK Runtime Win" (51044710) installed
• MobileBIService activated (http://localhost:8080/MobileBIService/MessageHandlerServlet?message=GetVersion yields a valid result)
• WebI reports and Dashboard Design files (residing in the same folder = same accessrights) tagged with category "Mobile"
• SAP BI App V4.4.18

The effect/problem is: I can see the WebI reports on iPad, but I do not see my dashboards!

After doing some research I am not sure about my current version on this serverany more  - and of course this might be the problem:

1. The MobileBIService URL mentioned above yields...
   • ...with SP05: productVersion="14.0.4.738" internalVersion="1.7"
   • ...without SP05: productVersion="14.0.4.831" internalVersion="1.8"
2. CMC says...
   • ...with SP05: 14.0.3.738 (Build Date 2012/06/11:18:38:06)
   • ...without SP05: 14.0.4.819 (Build Date 2012/08/30:11:43:34)

So, obviously something went wrong when installing SP05, as SP05 seems to have the elder version numbers - although I did not receive any errors while installing! When checking Windows' control panel of installed programs I found an entry for SP05, saying the version number is 14.0.5.882...

Any ideas?

I am very new to Android as well as to BO world. I am trying to develop an android application (android 3.1) to connect to BO 3.1 through webservices and retrieve the necessary information on reports and servers as available in the http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Java+Web+Services+SDK+Samples

I have included all the webservices jars which are available as part of installation of BO 3.1.

I am facing issue when I try to run the android application. I have attached the error here.

While googling i was able to understand that the core jar files incorporated files available as part of android SDK clashes with the packages available in the BO Webservices jar files and we will be getting the below error when trying to include webservices jar. For example: It allows dsws-common.jar to get added to apk file and i am able to establish connection. But when i tried to add dsws-session.jar, i get the below error.

I am running into an issue with being able to use an Input Control on the iPad that is based on a variable that is NOT coming from a BICS query in BI 4.0. In other words, I have a dimension called Units with three hardcoded values, say A, B, C. Based on that dimension, I have an input control. Within the report, I have variables that use an if then statement to adjust measure values according to the selection of the input control. (There is a separate measure for A, B, C, such as Quantity of A, Quantity of B, etc).

The issue is as follows:

If I make that input control based on the main table, most of the values dissapear or give unavailable errors in WebI.

If I make a separate blank table and link the input control to that, my if else statements in the main table work fine on WebI. However, as soon as I try on the iPad, the input control no longer shows up.

Any ideas how I can make an input control based on a custom input control variable work on the iPad?

I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions.

Please let me know about the relevance of drilldown and a Filter.

In iPad, after specifying conditions with the filter by Input Control, if it drill down,filter conditions will be lost.

the procedure is as follows.

-------------------------------------

1.Create input control and set a filter to the TableA.

2.Enable the drill function of a report.

3.Narrow down the conditions of the TableA with the filter created by input control by iPad.

4.It drill down on the TableA.

5.The filter conditions set as the TableA are lost.

--------------------------------------

In BI Launch Pad, even if it drill down,filter conditions are not lost.

Is it fault?

Hi all

I have created a WEBI report on top of Bex query with elements links : a pie chart with 2 dependencies (line chart and table). It works fine in Webi Rich Client

But with the mobile App, on IPAD, the element linking function does not work.

2 issues occur :

* when clicking on the filter next to pie chart, the app turns off immediately and I am out of it,

* when there is only the pie chart and line chart as dependency, when clicking on the filter next to pie chart, there is an error message " An internal server error occured while processing the client request (MOB00082)"

I think this is related to the BICS connection. No problem when report is based on top of Excel sheet for example.

I created an update operation in SUP2.1.3 version that contain Return structure so that i try to implement ResultChecker functionality to that operation based on sup2.1.3 documentation refered from this link http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp, but when i am trying to deploy MBO to SCC error like "No Such class found" error is coming. kindly help me to implement the same if possible provide me a detail documentation regarding this.

When attempting to download larger reports from BOE the SAP BI mobile app issues error "The Request timed out".

Smaller documents do not time out.

I have increased the doc size from default of 5 to 20 MB in file:

S:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps\MobileBIService\WEB-INF\mobi on server.

The Crystal report for enterprise reports run fine on launch pad.  I have downloaded them and the largest from Launch Pad is 12.5 MB.

Is there a configuration setting I am missing?  I have a ticket logged with SAP but was hoping someone out there might be able to help.
